Oxford’s collections (primary & secondary) for medieval history are outstanding by both national and international standards. The principal collections are housed in the Bodleian Library. This guide aims to give an overview of some of the Bodleian’s most important and useful finding aids and collections.

The guide has been produced by the Bodleian History Faculty Library with contributions from Prof. Richard Sharpe (History Faculty), Dr. Martin Kauffmann (Bodleian Library / History Faculty) and Dr. Malcolm Vale (History Faculty).

This is a very comprehensive and thorough guide with 27 pages packed with invaluable assistance to students and teachers alike.
